Our intramural REC program is for all players, boys and girls from Kindergarten to 8th grade. The purpose of recreational soccer is for the players to learn the sport, develop life skills and discover a love for the game in a fun environment. There is a FALL (K-8) , WINTER (K-6 only) and SPRING (K-8) program available.  All clinics are run by Mickey Kydes Soccer (MKS) professional coaches.  All games are coached by volunteer parents. Prior soccer experience is not required and there is no tryout. We encourage all players to join the fun!   WSA works closely with State and Town to ensure a safe and fun environment for all. ALL volunteers must register on the WSA site and complete coach training requirements. REC PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS: 

- One clinic (weekday) and one game (Saturday) per week (K-8)
- 8 week clinics (K-8) run from April 17th thru June 9th  (see Clinic schedule below) 
- 8 Games run from Saturday April 22nd thru June 10th** (see Game Schedule below) 
- One request per player can be entered into registration record
- Rosters finalized for K, 1st, 2nd, 5/6G, 7/8 boys and girls w/o 4/12. 
- Rosters finalized for 3/4 boys and girls and 5/6B by 4/14.
- Team Specific Jersey (2nd, 3rd and 4th grades) purchase at ASF Sports & Outdoors once teams have been announced by 4/10.
- Kindergarten,1st, 5th/6th and 7/8 grade reversible jersey,  purchase  at ASF Sports & Outdoors starting  w/o 3/27.
- 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8  tournament on Saturday, June 10th 

FEES: 
$220 per season for Rec player (K-8)
$100 discount for Travel players also playing REC (be sure to check the box on registration)

REC REFUND POLICY Spring  2023: 
Full refunds will be applied if the entire season is canceled. 
Partial refunds, minus a $35 admin fee, will be given for player withdrawal up to one week before season begins. Should further COVID-19 interruptions occur during the season, partial refunds, minus a $35 admin fee, will be considered at the Board's discretion. No refunds for player withdrawal during an active full season. 

TEAMS:

• Girls and Boys will be on separate teams
• Groupings are: K, 1, 2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8
• WSA Rec strives for team parity and competitive play

GAMES: 

• Team Game Schedule will be provided by your coach
• Players should arrive early for all games to warmup
• All Players MUST be in uniform with shinguards, cleats, no jewelry
• Parents, Coaches and Players should abide by the Code of Conduct

UNIFORMS:

• ASF Sports & Outdoors knows the appropriate uniform and ball size for each grade.

Inclement Weather:

• Game & clinic cancellations are announced on the WSA hotline 203-221-9900203-221-9900; town field closures are announced on the Parks & Rec Cancellation Line 203-341-5074.203-341-5074.
• WSA hotline updated generally by 2 pm during the week and 7:30 am on weekends. If there is no message, fields are open and you should report for your clinic, practice or game.
• Referees can cancel the activity if they deem the fields unplayable or dangerous.

Registration Important Dates For SPRING 2023 REC Season:

Registration
From January 18th  to March 31st players may register and are placed on a first come, first served basis by their requests.  

Late Registration
During the late registration period, prices will increase by $50. The Late Registration period will begin on April 1st.  

Program Wait List
Registration for the Spring  2032 Recreational Program will be set to "Wait List" beginning on Saturday, April 1 st.  Players who register after this time will automatically be placed on a Wait List. Wait Listed players will only be placed on a team if there is availability in their particular age group and player requests will not be honored.

IMPORTANT DATES:
